Ocean Migration Modules
Aldeburgh beach, Suffolk
mid-21st century
In the Oil Age, people took many pills and liquids (‘medicines’) to make themselves feel better. These pill packs, commonly found in coastal waters, were given a new use as ocean migration modules for non-flying insects and larvae to escape coastal flooding and relocate to new land masses.
